Do you write reviews online after going to a restaurant that you want to complain about?

It would depend what the complaint is about. I usually put a lot of stock in reviews written by normal people, whether it be for restaurants, clothes, movies, or anything else. Equally, I also feel that if I've had a very positive or negative experience I want to share that.

But usually it has to be one of those extremes for me to go out of my way to post a review online.

For example, if I went to a restaurant that others had hyped up to be good, it would go without saying that I would expect both my meal and service to be excellent. Especially if this restaurant were, say, 20-30% more than I would pay per person for a meal on a normal dining out occasion. If I got there and the service was poor, the food was unimpressive or bad, and the management didn't do anything to correct these issues, I would feel inclined to write a review. Especially if I left that restaurant mad. I would definitely want others to know that my last feeling walking out the door of that restaurant was anger, and that I would most likely not go back.

However, if the service was only mediocre, and my order was incorrect, but the server and manager made every attempt they could to correct the problems, I would leave feeling totally different and would probably not go to the trouble to write a review. Or, if there was only one issue instead of more than one, I also probably would not go out of my way to write a negative review.

Funny, huh? We only voice our opinions when we want to complain- usually.Do you write reviews online after going to a restaurant that you want to complain about?
No, if I had a complaint, I would make it to the management. I suppose that if I were not satisfied with the response, I might post a review. I'd be equally likely to post a favorable review though. I do post reviews of the hotels that I stay at because the websites I book through provide forms to do so.Do you write reviews online after going to a restaurant that you want to complain about?
I prefer to write the company and take the time to let them try again....I have had bad experiences that have been better the second time around. I will say it is much easier to complain then say good things! I write both depending on what was how bad depends if i just complain or not!Do you write reviews online after going to a restaurant that you want to complain about?
I typically don't I'd rather call and talk to the manager. I'm sure they would want to know about the bad service, food, etc. so they can attempt to make it up to you and fix it. If you don't think they will change, then go ahead and put if online to warn others.
