HOW TO RE-WORD THIS!! URGENT! RESTAURANT REVIEW?

Hey!!

Ok so im writing a review and the teacher (high school newspaper) doesnt like this wording-

Although the waiters are friendly, the time it takes the food to get from the kitchen to the table (leaves some to be desired.)

I guess he wants me to spell out what Im saying.

Thanks!!HOW TO RE-WORD THIS!! URGENT! RESTAURANT REVIEW?
It depends just how forceful you want to be! You could say:

"Although the waiters are friendly, the time it takes for the food to arrive is unacceptable."

Or if the service was REALLY bad, you might put:

"Although the waiters are friendly, the time it takes for the food to arrive is appalling."

Just change the last adjective to your preference. Use a thesaurus to get some really snazzy words ;)

Here are some words you might like:

- disgraceful

- embarrassing

- diabolical

First of all, what are you trying to say? Are you trying to say that by the time the waitress takes your order and gets it into the kitchen and back to the table the people are left in anticipation. The people are starved? They have a great desire to leave the restaurant because of the long wait? What are you trying to say?HOW TO RE-WORD THIS!! URGENT! RESTAURANT REVIEW?
The waiters are friendly, but the kitchen is slow.
