Our first anniversary is coming up and im trying to find a good restaurant with great food and intimate settings. We thought about staying home and cooking a romantic dinner but due to our current living situation we can't do that (currently renting from his parents.) A little late to the game but the best romantic restaurant I found in Houston is Mark's on Westheimer. Requires a reservation and is very expensive. Another great place is Perry's. Call them in advance and tell them it is your first anniversary.

I have two suggestions. Both are very intimate and serve excellent food along with great service. They are both pricey so be sure the check out the menus before you make your decision. You might try either Mockingbird Bistro or Mark's American Cuisine. perry steak house is nice but PRICEY, make reservations and say you want a cozy area cuz they can definitely make that happen. also let them know its your anniversary and you'll get a free desert
Brio or Eddy V's in memorial city centre, are both really nice, brio is an italian, and eddy v's is a steak house
