Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice restaurant, close to west end of london, good food, not overpriced?

Looking for a nice place to go for Valentines....but i have spent nearly three hours on the internet searching and reading reviews and still no front runners yet. Any suggestions?Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice restaurant, close to west end of london, good food, not overpriced?
The French House, 49 Dean Street in Soho is one of our favourites. You can get a main for 拢25, but expect the bill for the meal and wine to be around 拢100. This is a very small and interesting restaurant.

Sarastro, 126 Drury Lane is priced at very reasonable levels.

The food is very good mediterranean fare. The decor is amazing, you will not be stuck for conversation. The sister restaurant is Papageno 29 Wellington Street. Both are influenced by opera, some Papageno tables are placed like theatre boxes. Both have websites you can check out. www.papagenorestaurant.com and www.sarastro-restaurant.com

In New Oxford Street you will find the Italian Kitchen, which I beleive serves the best italian food in London. Across the road at number 42 is a french bistro called Savoir Faire. These serve lovely food, reasonably priced.

We have been to all of these, more than once, and can recommend any of them. Have a look at www.toptable.co.uk. They have special offers if you book through them. Get your skates on though and get booking, these get very full on Valentines day.

Have a lovely evening.Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice restaurant, close to west end of london, good food, not overpriced?
If you can afford 拢50 a head then La Porte Des Indes and Blue Elephant are beautiful romantic places.

You could try Chez Gerrard in Covent Garden, lovely glass roof and nice atmosphere. Try www.toptable.co.uk, www.lastminute.com or www.squaremeal.co.uk for bookingDoes anyone have a suggestion for a nice restaurant, close to west end of london, good food, not overpriced?
Can i just say that the Blue Elephant is amazing but is nowhere near the central London so i would not listen to the above comment.

Go to Cocoon in Piccadilly, its quite funky as well as Romantic, they already have rose petal tables, or go to the Crazy Bear. Good Thai food in lovely dark wood and green surroundings, also they have a great bar below with little caves/alcoves where you can snuggle up to your loved one, before or after the meal. A great place to impress. study the menu first, and i would reccommend the pork, it's delicious if your looking for an alternative to a Green Curry.

Make sure you book early though as it is known as being a hidden 'celebrity' hang out as bookings go quickly.

Enjoy
