im a food critic, and i went to a chain restaurant, and in my review, i said (to the manager as well) that the speed of my order, the customer service, and the food was not as well done as at others of the chain i have visited. and the manager fires one of the people i refered to. can i get sued for stating my opinion based on what i observed as compared to other restaurants?Defemation for opinion at a restaurant?
You have the right to the First Amendment, Freedom of Speech!!
For an owner or manager to terminate someone based on your word is solely wrong and poor management, unless the server had previous complaints. And you could be sued for anything, at anytime for any reason. Welcome to the great United StatesDefemation for opinion at a restaurant?
Unless you said things that weren't true, I don't see how you could be sued. You were just doing your job.Defemation for opinion at a restaurant?
well if u dont list it pblicly no way but if u list it publicly an dont have factiul data behind it like stop watch speed picture comparison etc u could run into trouble but in this case a conviction is unlikely
