I live in Tuscaloosa. There's not a whole lot in the way of decent restaurants. Depalmas downtown is ok. Bayou Seafood is pretty good - try the crawfish poor-boy. Chang's in Northport is our favorite for Chinese. There is no good Mexican, so don't even try. And Mike and Ed's bbq on Greensboro is pretty decent, but they're only open for lunch. Hooligans on University looks dive-y, but the food is actually pretty good.
Other than that it's just a bunch of fast food, bar-and-grill chains, or dirty looking dives. Go to Birmingham to eat :)
